A story of a mistake

My first Instagram post shows a card I made using structure paste. I was so impatient after watching great tutorials of Jennifer McGuire here and here, that I had to try using my paste with a stencil right now.

What I didn't know, since it was my first time :), is how quickly structure paste dries. Once I heat embossed it with Ranger Verdigris powder I noticed that big parts of my lovely picture were still white.

A crafter gotta do what a crafter gotta do.

Especially beginner like me, so instead of throwing it out and starting over, I improvised. My stock of distress inks is not complete yet, so I found matching eye shadow and coverd embossed area with it.

One thing led to another and I luckily had this great quote on hand that fits perfectly:

"To live a creative life we must lose our fear of being wrong".

I am treating this sentence as my motto and hey, life is short, let's have fun during our crafting adventures!

Talk to you later :)
